People always wonder what sort of strategies they can apply to make their content more successful. Should they try to directly advertise the product or focus on unrelated cat content? What about news that have to do with the development of the company the page represents? There are many ways to gather reaction, but in the US people are way more interested in certain types than others.
To showcase your product generally ends up being unsuccessful. Sure, there are some exceptions, but cat content and news seem to appeal way more to the crowd than anything else. Jack Daniel’s is one of the very few companies that manages to receive a lot of positive feedback for product advertisement.
They usually try to present it in a natural way, which resulted in their post performing outstandingly well week after week. This sort of post also works pretty well for the automobile industry, it does in Germany at least. So some companies might want to have a look into that to strengthen their presence.
Another way to present your product is used by Unilever Food Solutions.
It’s a different, more neutral approach. It emphasizes the practical use and is humorous at the same time. A recipe that surely works.
As long as a physical product exists, most pages will try to focus on it. Entertainment networks, such as magazines, radio- or tv-stations on the other hand, focus on different things. This doesn’t apply for all of them. Yes, some post cat content. Those who do even heavily focus on it. But a vast majority actually stays on topic, which is something the user base often appreciates. Pages are still willing to release funny content though, as long as it’s somewhat related to what the page is about.
You will rarely find a page that is cluttered in funny pictures. However, most of them still try to sell a more personal image. Local news, touching stories and things that make the users care are published often. Especially regional radio-stations focus on enhancing the link between themselves and their users almost constantly.

Every part of the industry has different tools to appeal to their user base. Knowing which you can count on is important.

Daddy passed away last night in Coalgate, OK at 11 pm CST. He had been in the nursing home for a while and we’re very thankful he is not suffering anymore. He was a born and bred cowboy through and through. He had been sick for 5 years. It makes total sense to me, he always told us kids never to run your horse to the barn.
