His Royal Highness Prince George was baptized in the Royal Chapel of St James Palace, 23 October 2013. And two posts about the christening became Top Posts of last week.
There are two pages about the royal family which have a lot of fans: the official page The British Monarchy (948k fans) and the not official page The British Royal Family (125k fans). It shouldn’t seed misunderstandings, since it informs the users clearly: “The British Royal Family is a page formed to keep you up to date with news and pictures of the British Monarchy and members of the British Royal Family. This page is not run by the Royal Household.”
Surprisingly on that page the post about the christening of Prince George reached way more likes, comments and shares than his birth!
That didn’t happen on the official page of the royal household. All postings about the birth of Prince George were way more successful and got a lot of more interactions. For example: The statement about the delivery has more than 550,000 interactions. Nevertheless: almost 100,000 Likes and about 10,000 direct shares is a great rate and it is for sure enough for our Top Post of the Week ranking.
