Christmas draws closer every week. But english Facebook pages barely focus on seasonal content. Why is that? Probably because for most it’s not necessary to adjust their strategies as long as they have interesting or funny stuff to publish. The most successful post of the week generated more than twice as many reactions as the page has fans.
Sure, there are pages that post christmas content or host lotteries, but at the end of the day that’s a minority, or they simply aren’t as successful as one might think. Maybe that’s because the fans are already fed up with christmas, after all it’s everywhere. Might Facebook be a hideout to escape from all the festivities, colorful lights and gingerbread men? Or is it just the silence before the storm? Guess we will find out.
