At its Community Summit, a conference dedicated to administrators of Facebook Groups, Facebook announced some nice changes last week to improve moderation.
New Formatting Tools
For more order and structure within the group, admins can notify a member if it violates a rule, filters the date range in the Admin Activity Log, and search member queries for names. In addition, a pilot program is planned with which groups and brands can work together, meaning that relevant pages can join their communities.
Connecting People with Mentors
A mentorship should offer the possibility in all Facebook Groups to have one-to-one discussions in addition to the open discussion in the group feed. This feature is to be introduced in the coming months, starting with groups in North and South America.
