Games get a lot of attention on Facebook. More than 700 million users play and engage with games there every month. The new tab allows users
- Find games that you can play directly on Facebook and invite friends to join.
- Discover and watch gaming videos from other channels, such as gamers, game producers or esports organizations.
- Find and join gaming groups.
The new tab in the main menu will gradually be rolled out among the 700 million game fans on Facebook. For everyone else, the games section is accessible via the home screen’s bookmarks.
The gaming community is a huge audience that is growing steadily. The new feature is designed to make it easier for users to access the world of games on Facebook. It is hard to imagine though that this is enough to rival the more established platforms in this area, such as Twitch or YouTube.
